Sneak-Attack: Facebook launches Twitter-killer
Update Jun 18 2009: Facebook seems to have thought the better of it and scrapped it. Imminent merger with Twitter? As it is, any updates to my FB status show up on Twitter, and vice versa. It’s only a matter of time. Xiaonei.com, the Chinese Facebook clone, already restricts users to status updates of 140 characters, although that is a good amount in Chinese.
Subscribe to Friend?
With Facebook’s new “subscribe” to friend feature, you can get text updates whenever your friends update their facebook status.
Boom. Sorry Twitter, it’s been fun.
